Scott Taylor

I am an enterprise Java architect and developer with a true passion for creating quality software. I'm continually trying to improve my skills by reading books and articles, writing code, and by examining the code of others. I'm particularly interested in what makes good software design, and what practices lead to good design. My search for good practices has made me a fan of agile software development methodologies. I believe that for a lot of projects, they represent a better way to write software than the more traditional heavy weight methods.

I'm particularly interested in what makes good software design, and what practices lead to good design.

Since 1998 I've been specializing in server-side Java development. I've been a system architect, a developer and a mentor in J2EE projects and have a deep knowledge of Java, EJB, Servlets and JSP.

I work as an independent consultant through my company TaylorIT. I live with my wife and two children in Trångsund, Sweden, just a 15 minute drive from downtown Stockholm.

If you are interested in learning more about my professional skills, please take a look at my resumé. If you are looking for a consultant, please contact me so we can see if I'm the right person for the job.

I thank you for your interest and time.
